I’m Ian, Wilko, Wilkini or Evlyxx depending on where you know me from, petrolhead, drinker of coke , occasional overthinker, Warcrafter, teller of bad Dad jokes and once more… blogger. Welcome to my little corner of the internet, where I share thoughts, stories, and whatever else my brain decides is worth typing out.

I started this blog because I figured if I’m going to be rambling in my head 24/7, I might as well let other people enjoy (or be mildly concerned by) it too. Whether it’s life lessons, tiny triumphs, hot takes, or just the weird stuff I notice while pretending to be productive, it all finds a home here.

When I’m not blogging, which isn’t likely to be that often, you’ll find me working hard in my ‘day’ job as a sysadmin for a little start up tech company working 12 hour shifts day and night or my side hustle mobile car valeting (aka Wilko Car Care).

When I’m off duty, I’m likely to be performing elite-level DIY to keep my better half happy (and the house from falling down), keeping my car and bike cleaner than my conscience (a tough task),binge-watching an alarming variety of TV shows, from gripping dramas to “how did I end up watching this?” reality nonsense and spending questionable amounts of time in World of Warcraft, saving Azeroth one loot drop at a time (or at least trying not to die in the process)

I don’t claim to have all the answers, heck, I barely have matching socks most days, but I do try to keep things honest, relatable, and maybe even helpful on a good day.
